A modern glass box to replace and existing conservatory

Project Description
The client is a keen gardener and loved sitting in her conservatory reading and also viewing the garden. The conservatory however was extremely cold in winter and its relationship to the rest of the house was poor.

The solution was a modern frameless structural glass box opening up the room to the kitchen dining room allowing light and views deep into the plan. Thermally protected glass allowed the room to be used in winter and the frameless glass allowed maximum views and light.

To avoid the box becoming dull the plan shape became distorted to create an angled rear wall which created a better entrance on to the garden.
